Description
The AIDS pandemic is a problem that many scientists still focus their research on today. In this activity, students analyze three maps that show the spread of the AIDS epidemic in different regions of the world between various age groups. They also read an accompanying article that discusses the issue of HIV transmission from mothers to babies through breastfeeding. Students write a persuasive essay "offering possible solutions to curbing the spread of HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa (and world-wide)."
